Description
This is a farmhouse, likely dating from the later 17th century, with alterations and a 19th-century cottage attached. The farmhouse is built of roughly dressed rubble stone with a stone slate roof and a stone ridge. A two-storey porch is centrally located on the front facade. To either side of the porch are chamfered and rebated mullion windows; originally a four-light window with a hoodmould, these have been altered to a three-light and two-light window with plain mullions. A smaller chamfered mullion window of two lights is on the ground floor. The first floor has chamfered and rebated window surrounds now containing modern casement windows. The porch has a triangular-headed doorway on its return side, with chamfered reveals, and a double-chamfered mullion window of two lights on the first floor. A rendered chimney is visible in the left-hand gable. The left-hand block dates from the 19th century and has four small two-light windows with plain mullions and reveals, along with a matching doorway. At the rear of the older section of the farmhouse, there is a small chamfered opening opposite the main fireplace. Inside, there are heavy beams and joists.
