Description

This is a 17th or early 18th century farmhouse, substantially rebuilt in 1816, with an attached barn. The farmhouse is a single range of two storeys. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The farmhouse comprises two bays, featuring a central doorway. It has sash windows with unmoulded reveals. A modern stone porch now shelters a five-panel door; above the porch is a panel containing a small arch surrounding the inscription "PJE 1816". At the rear of the farmhouse are two double-chamfered mullion windows, each of three lights, with hoodmoulds. The barn has a former cart entry with a fluted keystone, but may have been otherwise altered more recently. It features two-light windows with unmoulded mullions and reveals.
