Description

Numbers 14, 15, and 16, known as The Cosy Cafe, are located on the north side of Westgate in Ripon. The building dates from the mid-19th century at the west end, while the east end is likely from the 17th century and features timber framing. The east part has exposed first-floor studs. The west section has a slate roof, while the east section has a pantiled roof with stone slate verges. The west part is three stories high and has one bay with sash windows, while the east part is two stories and has three bays with Yorkshire casements. The ground floor features a mid-19th century wooden shopfront adorned with Tuscan pilasters and a moulded cornice.
