Description

The Corner Stores is a 18th century building with an earlier core, located on the north-east side of Poplar Road in Wittersham. It has two storeys, with the ground floor featuring painted brick and the upper floor weatherboarded. The roof is tiled and includes a 17th century brick chimney stack. At the east end of the front, there is a half hipped, tile-hung gable. The building has four windows: casement windows and one lunette on the first floor, while the ground floor has sash windows, although the glazing bars are missing. There is a modern shop front that has been built out at the east end.
