Description

Number 23 on Westgate in Ripon is a building from the 18th century or possibly earlier. It is constructed of stucco and has two storeys with a high parapet at the roof. The first floor features a flush-framed sash window. The shopfront, which dates from the mid-19th century, includes panelled pilasters, elaborate scrolled consoles, fluted detailing above, and mullions topped with small Tower-of-the-Winds capitals. There is a round-arched passage entrance.
