Description
The Midland Hotel is a late 19th-century railway hotel located on Broughton Road. It is constructed of stone and features a slate roof, with moulded wooden eaves that include cresting and brackets. The building stands three storeys tall and is accentuated by stone bands.
On the ground floor, there are two rectangular bay windows topped with a continuous cornice that creates a central verandah supported by two iron columns, which have pierced iron spandrels. The first floor contains sash windows with one, two, and three lights, while the top floor has five single sash windows. An entrance porch is situated at the left-hand end of the building.
