Description
Newton House is a house that has been converted into a shop, likely built in the early 19th century with some later alterations. The building is rendered and has a pantile roof. It stands two storeys high and has three bays. In the first bay, there is a three-panel door set within a rusticated chamfered quoined ashlar surround, featuring large keystones. To the right, there is a 20th-century shop front with three plate-glass lights and a part-glazed door. On the first floor, there are four-pane sash windows with projecting sills and wedge lintels. The parapet has three sections of balustrading, which are separated by plain panels, and there is ashlar coping on the right side.
