Description
Nos 171 and 172 on High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 18th century and has undergone later alterations. The building is rendered and features a pantile roof. It stands three storeys tall and has five bays. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front. On the first floor, there are 20th-century sash windows with projecting ashlar sills and keyed lintels. The second floor has half-size, four-pane sash windows, also with projecting ashlar sills and keyed lintels. Between the first and second floors, there are three tie-rod plates. The building is topped with a cornice, and to the left, there is a shaped kneeler and ashlar coping, along with brick end stacks.
