Description

The chest tomb of Leonard Spence, dating from around 1738, is located approximately 2 metres south of the tower of the Church of Saint Michael. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features panelled sides. On the top slab, there is a small bronze plaque with an inscription that fondly commemorates Leonard Spence, who died in 1738 at the age of 103 years.
