4/11 Mile-post approximately 400 metres west of turning to Bilton

Mile-post. Late C19. Cast-iron face, gritstone support. Triangular in section with rounded top, approximately 80 centimetres tall. Inscriptions: rounded top, 'Collingham and York Road / Bilton'; left face, 'Wetherby 4½ miles / Collingham 6½ miles / Leeds 17 miles'; right face, 'York 9 miles'. The front plate fastened to the support with square-headed bolts.
