Description

The garden wall to the north of the Manor House in Great Ayton is a boundary wall, likely built in the early 18th century. It is constructed from large, roughly herringbone-tooled sandstone and features chamfered coping. At the center, there is a pair of square gate piers with five-stepped tops. A short spur with a gateway extends south from the wall. The wall connects two small outbuildings, which are not of special interest. This structure is included for its group value with the Manor House.
