Description
The gate piers and garden walls to Manor House date from the 18th century and early 19th century. The older walls are made of pinkish brick, while the later walls are constructed from coursed squared stone, with the gate piers made of ashlar. The older wall extends west from the south-west corner of the house and then turns south for about 20 meters, featuring a round-arched gateway and flat stone coping. The later wall encircles the garden to the south and south-west of the house, as well as around the garden south of the outbuildings and along both sides of the drive, with sloped coping. At each side of the drive, there is an attached gate pier made of rusticated ashlar, complete with a plinth, cornice, and ball finial on a swept base. A smaller pair of piers is located at a single gateway just south of the house. The section of the wall closest to the outbuilding is notably taller.
