Description
Nos 62 to 66 on High Street, probably built in the late 18th century, were previously known as the Sun Inn and are now used as a shop. The building is constructed of stone rubble with ashlar pilasters and a front. Nos 62 and 64 are three storeys tall and feature two square sash windows on each upper floor. The northern end showcases a well-designed Victorian shop front with fluted pilasters, colonnettes, and spandrels around the glazing, along with a central door, fascia, and a dentilled cornice. There is a large window on the first floor that has similar pilasters, fascia, and cornice, as well as two small windows and a clock at the top set in a moulded eye, topped with a curved cornice. No 66 has a comparable shop front, a panelled door, and an upper bayed oriel, and the building has two storeys with old roofs.
