No. 36 Newbiggin is an 18th-century cottage constructed from uncoursed rubble and features a new slate roof. The building stands two storeys tall and has two windows on the upper floor, which are three-light modern casements with wood lintels. The ground floor has a 19th-century four-panel door, also set beneath a wood lintel.
