Description

This is an 18th-century house with alterations and extensions from the 19th and 20th centuries. The front of the house is constructed of coursed, squared chalk blocks, while an attached outbuilding to the left is of whitewashed brick against a red brick house wall, and the right side wall is rendered. The roof is tiled with pantiles, and there are brick stacks. The house originally had a three-cell, cross-passage plan, with a later lean-to outbuilding added to its left. The front elevation is single-storey and four bays wide. A 20th-century door is located to the right of the centre, flanked by two 2-light horizontal sliding sash windows with small panes. A four-pane sash window is found at the end on the left. All windows have painted wedge lintels. There is a stepped brick eaves course. Brick gable ends are present to the left, and stacks are located at the ends and to the left of centre. The attached outbuilding to the left is not considered to be of particular architectural interest.
