Description

Pontreve is a house dating from the early 19th century, with later alterations and an extension. The front is whitewashed and rendered, while the sides are whitewashed chalk. The extension is made of whitewashed brick, and the roof is covered with pantiles, featuring brick stacks. The house has a central stairhall plan and is two rooms deep, with a rear service wing added. It has a symmetrical two-storey front with three windows. The central entrance features a six-panel door with a divided overlight, set within a pilastered doorcase that has a cornice. On either side of the door are single-pane sash windows with stone sills, and the first floor has 16-pane sash windows. There are stacks at each end of the building.
