Description

Little Bella Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse, now a house, located in Folkton, with later 19th and 20th-century alterations and extensions. The farmhouse is constructed of coursed chalk, rendered and whitewashed to the rear and sides, with brick quoins. It has a pantile roof and brick stacks. Originally laid out with a three-cell plan, including a hearth passage and outshut, a rear extension has been added. The main entrance is a 6-panel door with an overlight, positioned to the left of centre. To the right of the door are two sets of paired 20th-century pivoting sash windows with glazing bars; a similar window is located to the left. The upper storey features raked half-dormers, with a 20th-century tile end on the right. All windows have stone sills, and the lower openings have thin timber lintels. A brick eaves course runs along the top of the building. Left and centre stacks are present. Inside, a pair of crossed-apex upper cracks remain between the two upstairs rooms on the right side of the house.
