Description
Chapel Farm is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, which was remodelled and extended in the 19th century. It features squared chalk on a brick plinth, with painted brick quoins and dressings, and a slate roof with brick stacks. The original design included a central staircase plan and is one room deep, with later extensions added to the rear. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical front with two windows. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with an overlight, flanked by sixteen-pane sash windows that have stone sills. The first floor has similar windows, and all openings are topped with wedge lintels and have quoined brick surrounds. At the rear, there are segmental arches made of header bricks for the door and ground floor window, along with end stacks.
