Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse with an attached cottage and outbuilding, now functioning as a single dwelling with an outbuilding and garage. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and has undergone later alterations. The structure features coursed, squared chalk on a brick plinth, with brick quoins and dressings, and a pantile roof with brick stacks. Originally designed with a central stairhall plan and 1½ rooms deep, the house was later extended into an L-plan cottage to the left, while the outbuilding to the right has been partly converted into a garage.
The house is two stories tall with a symmetrical three-window front, accompanied by a 1½ storey cottage on the left and a 1½ storey outbuilding on the right. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with a patterned overlight, flanked by 16-pane sash windows. The first floor features similar windows on either side of an uneven 20-pane sash. A round-headed, radial-glazed staircase window is located in the former cottage. The former outbuilding contains two square pitching holes. All openings are framed with quoined brick surrounds, and the house has tumbled brick gables and end stacks.
