Description

Laverton Grange is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar, with a Welsh slate roof. The main part of the house is two storeys high and comprises three bays, with a single-storey, 20th-century wing attached to the right-hand side. A plinth runs along the base. The central bay is set back and has two steps leading to an 8-panel door, above which is an overlight with glazing bars. The door is surrounded by a stone frame composed of Doric pilasters, a frieze, a cornice, and a blocking course. Flanking the door are canted bay windows with sashes featuring glazing bars, stone sills, a frieze, a cornice, and hipped roofs. The first floor has three sashes with glazing bars and stone sills. There are oversailing eaves and ridge stacks.
