Description

The Newcomb memorial is located approximately seven metres south of the porch of the Church of St John the Baptist in Stanwick. This tombstone commemorates William Newcomb of Aldbrough, who died in 1752. It is made of ashlar sandstone and features a scroll-moulded top. The front displays a commemorative inscription, while the back includes a patera and the inscription "Memento Mori."
