Description
Priory View is a house dated 1611, with 20th-century alterations. It is rendered with ashlar dressings and has a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, following a lobby-entry plan. It features a plinth and rusticated quoins. There are six full-height pilasters between the bays and flanking the doorcase, all with moulded capitals that align with the cornice. To the left of the right-hand bay, there is a 20th-century half-glazed door in a plain surround, topped with a large moulded eared lintel that has simple geometric patterns. The central carved keystone displays the date 1611. All windows are 20th-century casements with stone sills, and the ground floor windows have 20th-century cement lintels. The house also has a moulded stone cornice with a frieze above, shaped kneelers, stone coping, and end stacks, along with one stack at the ridge.
