Description

The Vicarage is a late 18th-century vicarage located on the south side of Main Street, East Harlesey. The building is rendered with a pantile roof. It is two storeys high with five bays arranged as a 1:3:1 configuration, and the outer bays have lower roofs. The central bay features a six-panel door with an overlight, set within a Doric doorcase incorporating reeded pilasters, a frieze with paterae, and a cornice. Flanking the door are canted bays with 16-pane and 8-pane sashes, stone sills, friezes and cornices. All other windows are 16-pane sashes with stone sills and flat stucco arches with voussoirs, except for the first-floor window in the right-hand bay, which is a 16-pane side-sliding sash. An eaves cornice runs along the roofline. Shaped kneelers are present, along with stone coping to the outside of the central three bays and the end bays. There are end stacks.
