House. Mid-late C17, with later additions and alterations, including heightening. Originally cruck framed, coursed rubble sandstone on cement rendered plinth, with hammer-dressed stone upper courses; pantile roof; brick stacks. Originally 2-cell, direct-entry plan, with opposed doors; later staircase and service outshut added at rear. 2-storey, 3-window front. 4-panel door approached by stone steps to right of centre. 3-light horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars on each side of door. Three 2-light sliding sashes to first floor. End stacks to steeply-pitched roof. Interior: late C18 corner cupboard with panelled doors in a fluted architrave in room to left. In room to right, a spice cupboard complete with carved and dated door survives. The inscription reads: GS 1678 FN. At least one pair of crucks survives, visible in the ground floor room to right.
