Description
This is a house dating to the 17th century, with later additions. It is located on the north side of Dale End in Kirky Moorside. The front of the house is constructed of coursed sandstone, while the sides and rear are of rubble. The roof is covered in pantiles. Originally designed with a 2-cell, gable-entry plan, it also includes a service outshut. The front of the house is two stories high, with a two-window arrangement. The main entrance is a 4-panel door located at the end on the right. There are 2-light, large-paned horizontal sliding sash windows throughout, set within stone sills. All the windows have thin timber lintels. An end stack is situated on the right side. The roof is steeply pitched and there is a small, multi-paned fire-window in the right gable wall. The building is included on the list for its group value.
