Description
Cow Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1830, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The structure is made of slobbered rubble that is brought to course, with stone dressings and a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance features a plain surround and a moulded hood, with a glazed door added around 1970. There are two ground floor windows and three upper floor windows, all with plain surrounds and 16-pane sash windows, except for a blocked central window on the upper floor. The eaves are adorned with modillions, and there is a right-hand kneeler and coping. The right-hand gable end has a ridge, while the left-hand ridge marks the former gable, which is now connected to a projecting mid-19th century three-bay barn. On the right-hand return, there is a round-headed staircase window with Gothic interlace glazing bars, and the modillions continue along the eaves level.
