Description
The Old Pinfold, located in the corner of a field next to the west side of the Bridge Inn in Great Ribston with Walshford, is a former pinfold dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of limestone and brick and features a small enclosure with straight sides that are approximately 5 metres long and walls that stand about 2 metres high. There is an entrance at the north-east corner, although the original gate is missing. The wall facing the road is made of coursed limestone, while the remaining straight and curved walls are built of brick and rubble, with some parts rendered. The enclosure is heavily overgrown.
