Description

The Pinfold, located in the corner of a field to the south of No. 442 on Garstang Road, is likely from the 18th century. It is constructed from roughly-squared sandstone blocks and forms a rectangular enclosure measuring approximately 10 by 8 metres. The walls are about 1.5 metres high and feature rounded coping, although the east side was under repair at the time of the survey in 1985. At the north corner of the west side, there is a square gate with slab sides and a lintel.
