Description
This is a farmhouse, likely built in the mid-18th century, and subsequently altered, now divided into two separate dwellings. The exterior is white-painted stucco over brick, with quoins, and a slate roof topped with two ridge chimneys. Originally a three-bay structure, it has later additions to the left side and at the rear. The upper floor is marked by a horizontal band. A single-storey, gabled porch, added in the 19th century, is positioned offset to the left of the centre, where an inserted door has been placed in the first bay. Most of the windows are rectangular with modern casements. The rear of the building has been altered. Inside, the entrance passage leads to a dog-legged staircase at the rear, featuring an open string, scrolled brackets, two turned balusters per step, a moulded handrail, and a cupboard with fielded panels beneath the upper flight. Matching doors are found throughout the house. The sitting room contains a large stone fireplace with corbelled jambs, a moulded surround, and a cornice.
