Description
Rose Cottage and Fair View Cottage are a pair of houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brown brick in English bond and have a pantile roof. The buildings are two storeys high, each featuring two first-floor windows. Originally, each house was one and a half rooms deep and has a continuous outshut at the rear. Both houses have a central four-panel door that is set beneath a cambered header-brick arch. The windows are two-light, side-sliding sash types with glazing bars, also positioned under cambered header-brick arches. The eaves are dentilled, and there are stacks at the ends of the buildings. The rear outshut was built up in the 20th century.
