Villa. 1841. Ashlar with green slate roof and stone chimneys. 2 storeys, 5 bays. 3 steps to 6-panel door with margined overlight in central projecting porch with paired square columns. Sash windows with glazing bars in archi- traves; panels below ground floor windows. Plinth, ground floor swell frieze and cornice, first floor cill band, modillioned eaves cornice and blocking course. Hipped roof with 4 corniced chimneys. 2-storey, 3-bay garden front has similar windows and a large, central 1-storey bow with Classical treatment and 3 replaced sash windows with glazing bars, curved on plan. North return has a small bellcote, and 2 tripartite windows in third bay. Tower, 3-bay domestic wing to east has similar window in plain, raised surrounds; and 2 stepped-back 1-bay extensions with canted inner angle corbelled out on first floor. Rear elevation shows round-arched stair window and further extensions in similar style.
