Description
No. 8 Market Place is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and has four bays. The shopfront is from the 20th century, while to the right, there is a four-panel door with an overlight, set within a flush wood architrave and beneath a flat brick arch. The first and second floors contain sash windows with stone cills and flat brick arches. The building is topped with stepped dentilled eaves and has ridge stacks.
