Description
The Post Office is a building that was originally a house, dating from the early to mid 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a graduated slate roof. The building has three storeys and five bays, with a plinth at the base. The entrance is an early 20th-century four-panel door with an overlight, framed by pilasters, consoles, a frieze, and a cornice. All the windows are sash style, with flat brick arches and stone cills. The eaves are stepped and dentilled, and there is stone coping along the top. The building has end stacks for chimneys.
