Description

This boundary stone, located on the east side of the B6265 in Thorpe Underwoods, is likely from the mid-19th century. It is made of bordered picked sandstone and has a triangular shape, standing approximately 0.30 metres high. The upper face is sloped and features the letters B S and OSBM deeply incised. This stone marks the boundary between the Civil Parishes of Thorpe Underwoods and Whixley. It is incorrectly shown as A1167 on the Ordnance Survey map.
