Description

The Buck Inn is a mid-18th century building located at No 29 Newbiggin. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed from rough coursed ashlar with chamfered stone quoins. The roof is made of Welsh slate with stone gable ends. The façade features four windows with plain stone lintels and cills, and hung sashes with glazing bars, although the top two windows are blank. The entrance to No 27 has a round-headed rusticated architrave with a six-panel door and a radiating fanlight on the left side. The Buck Inn has a plain stone round-headed architrave for its door, complete with a keystone and a semi-circular radiating fanlight. To the right, there is a modern bow window with glazing bars. The building is part of a group that includes Nos 11 to 31 (odd).
