Description

Trevor House is an early 19th-century house and cottage located on the east side of Richmond Road, near Leyburn. It is constructed from coursed, watershot rubble with an artificial tile roof. The house has two storeys and four bays in total, with quoins marking the corners. The main house section comprises three bays, featuring a central part-glazed door set within a round-arched ashlar surround, topped with a keystone and a fanlight. Sash windows with projecting sills and sill-like lintels are present throughout the house. To the right of the main house is a single-bay cottage with sash windows incorporating glazing bars, projecting sills, and sill-like lintels, and a side entry. Shaped kneelers and ashlar copings are visible at the roofline. Chimneys are located at both ends of the house and at the right end of the cottage.
