Description
Farnley Lodge is a lodge house dating from the late 19th century. It has a square plan and is a single storey building with two bays. The exterior is constructed of coursed squared gritstone and features a stone slate roof. The central entrance consists of a 19th-century board door with nail-head decoration, set beneath a re-used ogee doorhead that is dated 1672. On either side of the door are three-light double-chamfered mullion windows, each with hood-moulds. The building has a pyramidal roof topped with a central ashlar stack. Farnley Lodge serves as the lodge to Farnley Hall.
