Description

Paradise House, formerly The Graham Sea Training School and previously Tindall House, dates from the mid to later 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is a two-storey and attic building constructed of red brick, with the south front stuccoed and featuring incised lines. The roof is slate, with chimneys at the gable ends.

The north front has a bracketed cornice and five sash windows with later glazing. The central entrance is within a projecting mid-19th century porch, featuring a cornice, blocking course, a four-panel door with a semi-circular fanlight in a pilaster frame, and an architrave arch with a keystone. Round-headed side windows are present on the porch.

The south front also has five windows, the central one arched with radial glazing to the head on the first floor. A centrally positioned half-glazed door is set within a moulded architrave surround with a cornice and pediment, with stone steps leading down to the garden.

The interior was altered when the building was used as a school.
