Description

This former bone grinding mill, now used as a barn, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed limestone and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has five bays, with a threshing floor at the southern end and a two-storey granary and storage area to the north. It stands two storeys high and has four openings on the first floor. There are tall double doors beneath an elliptical arch on the right side, and 12-pane fixed windows to the left. The first floor also has 12-pane fixed windows, except for a pitching door in the second bay, all with wedge lintels and gable coping. Inside, the mill has tie-beam trusses with trenched purlins. There are 20th-century additions to the north that are not of special interest. The building is included for its group value.
