Description

This is a parish boundary marker located between Austwick and Lawkland, likely dating from the early 19th century. The marker is made of dressed slate and stands about 1 meter high and 1 meter wide. It has a pointed top and chamfered edges. The front of the stone is inscribed with the names "AUSTWICK" and "LAWKLAND," which are separated by a vertical V-shaped groove that runs down the center of the stone. The rear side of the stone is blank.
