Description

No. 3 Millgate is a mid-18th century building that stands three storeys tall, constructed in painted roughcast with rusticated stone quoins. It features a Welsh slate roof adorned with two brick stacks. The façade includes three windows set in moulded stone frames, with one window on the ground floor featuring a plinth that forms a band, and all windows are hung sashes with glazing bars. A small moulded eaves cornice adds detail to the roofline. The entrance consists of a modern seven-panel door topped with a reproduction small entablature supported by consoles. To the left, there is a 19th-century side door with a rectangular fanlight, while a modern yard roller shutter is located to the right. Nos. 1 to 21 (odd) form a group, as do Nos. 1 to 9 (odd) with No. 56 Market Place.
