Description

7 Millgate is a late 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall and is colour-washed over brick. It features a stone slate roof and has three windows fitted with glazing bars. At the base, there is a stone plinth. The entrance includes a 19th-century door with four panels, a rectangular fanlight, and plain pilasters, along with a hood on the left side. The central doorcase is adorned with engaged Tuscan columns, a plain frieze, and a cornice, also topped with a rectangular fanlight. Access is via two steps. To the right, there are 19th-century yard doors situated beneath a frieze and cornice. This building is part of a group with Nos 1 to 21 (odd) and also forms a group with Nos 1 to 9 (odd) and No 56 Market Place.
