Description

No 3 on Scarborough Road is a house built in the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations and an extension from the 19th century. The structure is made of squared limestone and features variegated brick dressings, topped with a pantile roof and brick chimney stacks. There is a red brick extension built in garden wall bond. The house has a two-cell, direct-entry plan and a rear extension. It is two stories high with a two-window front. The entrance is an off-centre four-panel door, and all windows are 16-pane sashes. Ground-floor openings have segmental arches, and all windows are fitted with painted stone sills. The house has chimney stacks at both ends.
