Description
Garth House is a house that likely dates from the early to mid-18th century, with some alterations from the 19th century and additions from the 20th century. It is constructed of reddish-brown brick, features ashlar cills, and has a pantile roof. At the rear, there is a two-storey outshut added in the 19th century. The building has two storeys and three windows on the first floor. It has a brick plinth and a central four-panel door that is sheltered by a 20th-century porch. The windows are sixteen-pane sashes with segmental heads under elliptical arches, all with stone cills. There is a three-course band at the first floor level and an eaves band. The house has a ridge and end stack, and the gable ends display tumbled-in brickwork.
