Description
Little Edstone Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 19th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of coursed limestone on a stone plinth, topped with a pantile roof and featuring brick stacks. The building has a central staircase plan, is 1½ rooms deep, and includes rear service rooms. The front is symmetrical with two storeys and three windows. It has flat, milled quoins and a central six-panel door beneath a fanlight with patterned radial glazing. The timber doorcase features an open pediment supported by detached square section columns. The windows are four-pane sashes with stone sills and heavy, plain lintels that have incised keyblocks. The gables are coped with shaped kneelers and end stacks. Inside, there is a closed string, straight staircase with reeded, squared balusters and a wreathed newel.
