Description
Central House and adjoining cottage date from the early 18th century and have undergone later alterations. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with a pantile and stone slate roof. It comprises 1:1:3:1 bays. The original three-bay section of the house has quoins visible on the left-hand side. The central bay features a 20th-century six-panel door within a chamfered ashlar surround with bases. Ground-floor windows are 20th-century segmental bows, while first-floor windows are 16-pane sashes. The lower third of the roof is covered with stone slates. End stacks are present.
To the left is an addition, distinguished by quoins on the first floor and matching windows and roof. A further addition is located to the far left, featuring a 16-pane sash window on the first floor, shaped kneelers, and ashlar coping. An end stack is present on this left side.
The cottage to the right has a board door set within a quoined ashlar surround, and a 2-light casement window within a chamfered ashlar surround to its left. A 2-light casement window is likely located within a matching surround on the first floor. Ashlar coping is visible on the right, and a brick stack is present on the left.
The interior of the cottage includes an ashlar surround to the ground-floor fireplace.
