Description
The former warehouse at the H.B.C Depot, now a Council Depot, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed dressed Magnesium limestone and features a hipped slate roof. The building is two storeys high with a west front that has five bays. The central bay contains a doorway with double plank doors and a timber lintel. To the left, there is a glazing bar window followed by a plank door. Further left, there is a single storey lean-to addition with a small casement window. On the right side, there is a blocked window and a small inserted casement, followed by a doorway with a 20th-century door and a narrow overlight. Above the central doorway, there is a loft doorway with a plank door flanked by two glazing bar sash windows. The south street front features three boarded windows, and above them is a central loft doorway that has been bricked up, flanked by two single blind openings.
