Description

Danby House is an early 19th-century brick house on Canal Road in Ripon. It is three storeys high and has three bays, with flush-framed sash windows containing glazing bars. The front door has six moulded panels, a semi-circular fanlight with Gothic glazing bars, moulded imposts, and a Tuscan surround. Attached to the west side of the house are ashlar gateposts built into the garden wall. The gateposts are rusticated, with a coved top to a plain cornice and pyramidal caps. The roof is pantiled.
