Description
Low Parks Farmhouse and Barn is a house and adjoining barn located in Sproxton, North Yorkshire. The building dates from the late 18th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with a pantile roof and brick stacks. The original baffle-entry plan has been modified, and the barn is situated to the left of the house.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and features three first-floor windows. The entrance includes a half-glazed door set within a wooden porch, flanked by French doors on the left and a casement window on the right. The first floor has casement windows, and all openings are from the 20th century. The roof is swept, with gable copings and shaped kneelers, and there are end stacks on the house.
The barn has stone steps leading to a granary at the left gable end, along with two board doors and two slatted window openings that have wooden lintels.
