Description
Rose Cottage is a house, likely built in the early 18th century. The original cross-passage, which now serves as the entrance to the adjacent house, is dated 1723. The building is constructed from coursed sandstone blocks with quoins and features cavetto moulding along the eaves. It has a graduated slate roof with stone copings, kneelers, and end chimneys. The front of the house is symmetrical, with two stories and three bays. The central entrance consists of a panelled door flanked by 3-light mullioned windows on either side. On the first floor, there is a similar arrangement, with a central 2-light mullioned window. All windows are fitted with glazing bars and have stone surrounds.
